I wanted to take some time today to introduce you to Snake River Farms, the premium meat delivery service out there. I will eventually take you through the other options out there but will start with the one used by competition smokers out there.
Snake River Farms sources American Wagyu cuts as well as Kurobuta pork and other premium meats. When I say premium, I’m not kidding. This is a premium brand that is used in Michelin star restaurants and by serious BBQ’ers out there. It has a superior texture and taste and that high quality comes at a price.
You have probably heard of Japanese Wagyu as one of the premium cuts in the world. Snake River Farms sells American Wagyu. The cattle is raised in Idaho along the Snake River. The cattle are fed balanced diets and the meat is wet-aged, hand cut and frozen for shipping. This meat uses the Japanese marbling scale and exceeds USDA Prime Some of the cuts you can get are ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, brisket, and more.
We also can’t forget about the Kurobuta pork. This is high quality pork found in restaurants that is bred from the Berkshire breed of pigs. It is well marbled resulting in a tender texture that is very juicy. Like the beef, the grades are very high and there are various cuts of pork like chops and ribs.
The meat is shipped is sustainable packaging and is very well packed to maintain temperature throughout its journey to you.
So let’s talk about the pros and cons:
VERY high quality
Superior customer service
